The Power of Logistics

Wincast is known to be a service provider focused on collaboration with our clients, vendors and other industry participants to provide the best products at the prices budgeted for a proposed development. The Uptown’s fine condominium and rental spaces mixed with their blend of modern commercial spaces is a great example of the result from collaboration. By meeting with the owners, Specialized Real Estate and the architect, Modus, on many pre-construction occasions with a focus on affordability and modernization Wincast work to consult, design and finally implement some of the most beautifully displayed examples of the latest in building design aimed at blending man-made and non-man-made environments. Collaboration was the enabling factor to blend both structural performance with a modern appeal and another example of the importance of that ability.

It’s impossible to describe the beauty and wonder of this elaborate museum tucked away in the heart of Bentonville in an area that has been preserved to display why Arkansas earns it’s name as the “Natural State”. The museum is known for the ease of access for families, visitors or locals but in order to preserve nature without disrupting day-to-day operations would prove to be a logistical nightmare. Wincast worked hand-in-hand with Flintco, the General Contractor, to coordinate, communicate and mobilize all of the materials and labor necessary to complete the job on-cost and on-time. The defining difference between success and failure was in logistics. Both Wincast and Flintco were afforded a very restricted amount of space for material lay-down, limited right of entry points for access and egress, even to the point that a crane had to fly in the rebar. Due to the vertical specifications of the elevator tower Wincast was required to work vertically, up to 24’, but always remained mindful of safety and precision. Coordination, communication and mobilization, otherwise known as logistics, was the driving force behind Wincast’s ability to execute flawlessly in a very restricted and limited access environment.
